Biography
Dr. Nielsen is interested in molecular and cellular mechanisms regulating vascular morphogenesis and homeostasis in the brain. Her current postdoctoral research is focused on genetic programs underlying brain arteriovenous malformation, a cerebrovascular disease accompanied by hemorrhage, stroke, and neurological deficit in human patients.
