Biography
Dr. Hwa completed her Ph.D. in the lab of Dr. Thomas Clandinin at Stanford University, where she studied mechanisms of morphogenesis and synaptic specificity in developing photoreceptor neurons. As a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Rong Wang, Dr. Hwa's project examines the formation of the early vasculature and arteriovenous specification of endothelial cells during mammalian embryogenesis.
